GlobaExam is an examination
system that provides an examination package for
University /Colleges / Schools. It is an excellent
tool that allows central repository for all your
University /Colleges / Schools questions and exams.
It allows random examination paper generation
enabling the University /Colleges / Schools to
conduct exams in a secure manner with every student
being tested a different set of questions. It
provides ability for the University /Colleges
/ Schools administrator or supervisor to have
a control on the entire examination process enabling
them to finalize and approve questions and also
monitor the generated logs of all the University
/Colleges / Schools staff that used the system
to create an examination or test paper.
How
it works?
It is a multi user system and has different
levels of access based on the entitlements of
the user.
There are two types of users.
Administrator (e.g. Supervisor / Principal
/ Vice Chancellor Or any authorized person).
Faculty Member.
All Members have there own Login ID's and
Passwords. These ID / Password are generated
by the system at the time of Account Creation.
The User after entering the User Id and Password
are authorized based on the entitlements granted to the user.
Faculty Member will use Faculty Member's Interface,
which have limited number of options like.
Add Question Facility.
Printing Facility.
Generate Log Sheet of his Own.
Administrator will use administrative Interface,
which will have all the facilities as below :
Fully Customizable Category Question Bank.
Language Support.
User Permission Model.
Support Long / Short / Multiple Choice Questions.
Support Optical Mark Reader for Multiple Choice
Questions.
Support Spell Check / Diagrams / Special Characters.
Generate Multiple Unique Examination Papers

Search Members using Multiple Filters.

How
to Run the Software?
It can be used on separate Machine as a standalone
program or it can be use on Local Area Network or it can be used on Internet.
As a stand alone Program, its Database will
reside on the same system.
As an Intranet Application, its Database will
reside on One System, which will be accessed
by other PCs that has a Centralized Database.
(Same for Internet).
Benefits
Hardware requirements for GlobaSoft
Examination System are nominal. Any computer which
is Pentium 3 or above with any internet connection
(For Internet Version) and an ability of running
Windows XP has all the horse power, storage and
256 MB of memory required. The only other equipment
required is a Printer for Printing the exam papers
and additionally Optical Mark Reader if the University
/Colleges / Schools uses Automatic Exam paper
checking. In case of manual paper checking, Optical
Mark Reader is not Required.
Supporting
Its Database is designed in SQL Server so it is
highly secure. The Server that runs this Software
Requires SQL Server Version 6. Front end application
is developed in Visual Basic 6 therefore the server
running this Software must have the Visual Basic
installed.
Other
Requirements
For internet Version of this Software, a broad
band connection is highly recommended, although
the dial up could be used.

Log Files
The system also generates the User Logs of all
the User Transaction and activities performed
using this application. The Administrator is provided
the utility to view and monitor the generated
logs of all the University / College / School
staff that used the system to create an examination
